how can i fix my ford transit 2001 fwd?

ford transit 2001 fwd duratorque 2ltr diesel i can only get 1st and 2nd gear i think that maybee the selector bearings are gone in the gear box could do with some extra advice before i start taking gearbox off

check the gear cable mite off broke or popped of the bearing ball. i had the same problem and it was one of the cables clips had snapped off they cost about £58 from ford

Sounds like the gear selector cables have stretched, a new set will be required.
