Accenta6 home alarm?

Hi, the bathroom wiring was damaged but unfortunately the plumber has chased into the wall and is now covered by wall panels. Now the sensor (all the sensors in the house) little red lights do NOT work. I could re-wire the last three or yards back from the bathroom sensor. Question: has do I go about cutting that cable and rejoining a new cable to get the sensor lights working again?
