Miele W698 Hydromatic will not spin?

If the motor does the wash reversing action ok but just misses the spin, check the cancel spin button has not been pressed. Other probs could be not draining fully this will cancel the spin. If you have no motor action at all it could be the carbon brushes worn out in the motor, but at 25 years old it could be an old induction motor which has no brushes.
