aiwa CX-NV50U cd plyr not working trouble shoot why not read?

every thing else on this stero reciever works am/fm, digital display dual cassettes spkrs 3 disc tray opens tray ;ocate cell finder works, cannot get cd to attempt to play, led indicator shows which cd is ready what trac etc, but no read, spin or ? ive been suggested by others that there maybe a forcible way to reset the microchip that progs the cd unit if so pls advise thank you
