hitachi site radio not working?

Had mine for about a year, npc on radio display and battery's (x3) wouldn't work with it, but work in my drills. I suspect water got into it as that's the only change in circumstances. I opened up the rear compartment, sprayed the bottom battery (old style) contacts as a short would suggestions the radio that the battery was flat. With compressed air and a towel, dried out the interior. It now works. I have issues with the volume not knob, similar issue I believe (water Ingress).

Mine doesn't work either, hardly used it, batteries or plugged in to the wall

My radio was working fine and is only a few weeks old as to the 18v batteries but after using the ac adaptor wen battery was run out it now won't work with the battery it just shows up Noac on the screen
