no power on washing machinf?

Hi,
I have a Hotpoint WML 520 Aquarius,
I loaded it this morning, put washing powder 7 conditioner in the trays and turned it on, it start so i went away, came back a few hours later and there is no lights on the unit and i cannot open the door, i remove the top and release the door to find that the clothes are mainly dryish, but the powder and conditioner are gone, also there is no lights on the front panel. i checked that the unit is getting power and it is it comes into the back into a small unit which has power coming in to it and there is power coming out and going of to the white unit and the back bottom right, and idea's where to go next,
