Whats wrong with my Fiat Punto 60S '97?

My water light keeps coming on, we have topped the water up, but still keeps overheating. We are not sure of the bleeding point. Could someone help. Also, WHATS WRONG WITH THE THING!!! Could it be the water pump?

i can almost guarantee you it's the head gasket. FIAT stands for Fix It Again Tomorrow.

There is two bleeding points one on the Radiator on the top left and one at the back of the Engine in the centre it looks like a plastic screw. i only know this because i am having the same problem with my punto 60s 1997 1.2 8v.

there is a main fuse for the radiator fan on the near side inner wing . if this is blown then your fan wont cut in.
if thats ok then look at the fan switch at the bottom of the rad . run the car till it gets hot to see if the fan cuts in , idf the fan stays off pull the plug of the switch and loop a bit of wire or pin into each hole in the plug this should turn the fan on. if so change the fan switch.
