I've got a easyfill 2200w steam iron,was ironing,then stopped steaming,light is burning so it's on but doesn't heat up at all,and water keep running out of the wholes where the steams suppose to come out.Did i put in too much water or did the wires get w

My russell hobbs easy fill 2200w steam iron goes on when you plug it in,but doesn't get warm and won't steam at all.Water running threw the holes,did i put in too much water or dit some wires inside get wet or something?How should i open it and what should i do,i'm really fond of this steam iron,it's the best,please help a s a p,thanks.
