A717c Kenwood Major mixer?

Possibly related to a previous question, my similar mixer quit in the middle of use recently [it is thirty odd years old] and upon dismantling, found that a flat, brown, round 'resistor' [if it is a resistor] about 12 mm across, soldered to the speed control had burnt out.

Unfortunately there is no ID numbers on the 'resistor' with which to find a replacement. And my local electronic parts supply couldn't didn't have a clue or a modern 220ohm/ .047uf replacement.

Can anyone help identify and suggest a replacement.
