Hotpoint wf540?

I have a hotpoint wf540 washing machine. Immediately I turn it on at the mains the top 4 lights out of 5 rapidly flash on the left (these are starting from the top - wash enhance, reduced creases, rinse hold and main load). At the same time the final spin light rapidly flashes too ( this is the furthest right light of 5 different light indicating functions). Finally, whilst all this is happening the on/off light also flashes rapidly. There does not appear to be any pause in the lights flashing, it is just constantly flashing. The machine can not be switched off by the on/off switch either - only at the mains. I've tried switching off for long periods of time but no luck with that, Any helpwould be great,y appreciated,
