Mend Belling Oven Heating Light

Belling 335 oven not heating up?

Belling 335 oven, original fault was oven not heating up, LHR hotplate & control light not working. Changed thermal fuse and rectified LHR hotplate & light problem, however, the oven still does not heat up even though both elements are ok. This only leaves either the thermostat oven control or a YELLOW spade terminal lead that is connected to one terminal of both elements but disconnected at other end. Can a cold test be done on the thermostat by multimeter to prove if it is ok before buying new one? Hope this is explained well enough for someone to offer a solution. Thanks in anticipation.

Kenjo, thanks for your response. This lead is only 6" long and not long enough to reach the terminal block. I was aked to look at the cooker by a friend but the back cover had been removed before I arrived and I can't say if the lead came adrift on removal. I've been suspecting this is the problem but am unable to find wiring diagram or another 335 that I can compare with. Various blogs have mentioned this lead hanging loose but I can't imagine it being produced with an uninsulated live spade terminal!

If this yellow lead is the ONLY wire connected to one terminal of the 2 elements and then goes nowhere that will be your problem, you will only have one polarity on the elements. If so it must be connected to something to work , you need to find out where it was connected originally.
