Faulty door lock replaced following an error code and the machine cycles through the programme ok however the motor wont turn. Drum is free and rotates by hand and the belt is fine. Motor was ok before the door lock replacement, all connection are clean and tight.
Brushes?
Hi CK I have searched for replacement brushes without success, does this motor have brushes or is it a digital? there are a lot of cables going into the motor housing.

Thanks CK I will try to get some brushed before I strip it down, that way I will be sure.
It may be the weekend before I will get at it again.

take the motor off and remove the motor brushes and see if they are worn out.10mm or less of carbon are worn out and need replacing.to test just pull the carbon out of the holder as far as you can and refit.if motor now works stop using it and get some new brushes before you damage the motor permanently
