Mend Fiat SX-75 Brake Lights

my brake lights dont work?

fiat punto N reg (sx-75) my brake lights are not working, the bulbs are ok, fuse's are ok,how can i test the light switch unit on the footbrake pedale?

Hi remove the plug with the cables and put a small piece of wire across the wires, if the lights light up fine then the switch is no good or needs adjusting on the travel of the pedal.

these switches are cheap just put a new one in
