Mend Guardtec 816 Works Set Switch

The door chime works, but will not set off the alarm when the door is opene?

I have changed the door reed switch on the entry exit door,when the door is opened it sets off the chimes but not the main alarm, all the other zones set the alarm off but not the main entry and exit. The system is a Guardtec 816 series and it was installed 1998. I look forward to your answer.

Ensure the panel has not dropped the E/E programming.
