water pump prob on gilera runner vx 125?

hi,
my son has a gilera runner vx 125 (2004) does anyone know how to fit a water pump repair kit on it ie take all the neccessary off and re- put it on .........other son is a mechanic but unfortunatly for cars so can do it but just not sure how to remove the insides and repalce
