where could I get a replacement heat control/lead for electric frying pan?

I am looking for a replacement heat control unit attached to a lead for an Antony Worrall Thompson by Breville Gourmet Meal Maker. It has a metal probe that inserts into the frying pan. I do not think these pans are produced any more - mine is working fine but the lead has become soft and I suspect dangerous - it looks like a sealed unit so it would be difficult to change the lead. Any advice welcome. thanks
