how can i fix ghd's hair iron's?

ghd hair straighteners (regular)
I can't get them to stay on the l.e.d keeps cutting out but when the l.e.d is on they work.
so i changed the power lead but no difference still cutting out so opened them up and tested between phase and neautral, power is seems to be getting every where so i put them back together but now they arn't goin on what so ever! please help!

Just looked at a this device for the first time to fix niece's ghd.

Found that the thermal fuse was ok but that one of the two heaters were open circuit. Easy to check if you have an ohm-meter. Resistance of one is 160 ohms. As they are in parallel they will measure 80 ohms. 160 ohms means one of them is open circuit.

Cause found to be that the connecting wires had fractured from the heater - both came out when given the lightest tug.

Suspect they cannot be soldered back on. Will find some way to crimp them back on.
Interestingly the heaters are marked as 220v. This means they are being overrun -likely cause of failure. if so = cr*p product..

hi there i normally fix these problems for about £20 plus £5 delivery and within 5 days not 1 month like ghd i replace the old lead with my own new lead ..for more info contact me on mrfire@fsmail.net or msn me at deckdemon@hotmail.co.uk thanks tony

your problem seems to be if your pair has 1 ..the thermal fuse or still more probs with the lead
