Mend Leisure Laurette 2 Gas Heat Ignition

oven flame ignition?

I can light the flame in the oven but when I turn the knob to increase the heat the flame does not increase ,thus making the oven cook things on a low heat. any ideas what might be causing this. its a leisure laurette 2 high grille gas oven about ten yrs old if this info is any good .
