Hi, i have hotpoint wma 64s washing machine, when it goes in to spin it shakes very badly, i have checked the drum for movement , there is no movement in it, telling me the bearing is fine, i am not to sure how to check the dampers, with the top cover off by placing my hand on the concrete block i can move the assembley backwards and forward, i am not to sure weather it is supose to move backwards and forward, please help?
check the bearings again by having any of the 3 drum paddles at 12oc position, then gently apply thumb pressure upwards on the nearest edge to you, you need to be able to determine the difference between drum movement from total , tub assy. movement . also look around the pulley wheel for rusty stains, if you think everything is in order make sure the machine is dead steady on the floor,also check the concrete weights for tightness, rarely have I seen the shocks worn.
