hotpoint WF340 stops before final spin?

washing machine stopped before final spin, removed top and rear access covers to have a look for any loose wires and checked for any blocked pipes, all was ok. Tapped and rattled a few things, put it back together and it worked fine for a couple days until last night when it stopped again before final spin. Any ideas would be appreciated.
