How do i adjust neff B1420 oven door so it is flush top and bottom?

I had the same problem and tried the magnet solution - brilliant - maplins don't seem to do them any more so I bought some from http://e-magnetsuk.com/ for 4.99 plus postage

I don't know if my door is B1420, but it must be similar. I bought a pair of 10mm diameter superstrong magnets from Maplin at about £9, and stuck them on each end of the top of the oven facing the door. Works wonderfully!
Previous attempts with slipping washers under the spring bracket, or straightening the bracket, had helped, but the magnet thing is great.
I have heard you can get free magnets from a helpful computer fixer who disposes of dead hard drives, which are apparently fitted with similar megamagnet stuff.

This was a great answer for my Neff 1531 Oven which is similar - I tried adjusting the door hinges as above but they must have been sprained so i ordered new hinges online. This must be a common problem as my friend also had exactly the same issue. They are very easy to change if you follow the manual's instructions and my door problem was solved and now fits perfectly. I also bought a new bulb as specified in the manual. Total cost was about £35 with the bulb so i saved a huge amount on call-out charges etc... Many thanks.

I know this was a long time ago but perhaps someone with the same problem is reading this. You may not need to renew the hinges. Take the door off and open it up using the 2 screws on the bottom edge and the other 2 on the top facing. Leave the 4 screws holding the hinges in place. Look inside the hinge and you will see a triangular bar resting on a riveted wheel. Press hard on the bar using a strong screwdriver. The wheel will move slightly and the bar will move to the other (far) side of the wheel. Repeat for the other hinge if needed. Problem solved.
To avoid this problem in the future tell your family not to place heavy objects on the open door. Do not "bounce" the door when it reaches its maximum opening. Small children should NEVER use the door as a seating place.
Hope this saves somebody some money and aggravation.

Hi,

It would appear that the door hinge/s require replacing. This is fairly straight forward by removing the door, it should then become apparent how to get to them.
