why have my headlight stopped working ?

the low beam headlight wiring and the rear lamp wiring aren't connected directly but looking at a wiring diagram the rear lamp is connected at a six way junction/connector block together with the sidelight, numberplate light, one instrument panel light, the light switch and hi/lo dimmer switch, the head light feed comes off the hi/lo switch and looks to be a white wire. I would be tracing any of these wires(they are all black or dark purple coloured wires) back through to find the connection to check for corrosion or breaks, if its not that then check for loose/broken/corroded switches at the handlebars.Sorry but the colours on the wiring diag. weren't that clear, its simple, as the others are either green(earth) yellow/purple(high beam), yellow/green(brake) or white.
