vax 2000 on off switch?

If you're unable to get to the switch to replace it then how do you know that the switch needs to be replaced - you're not able to test it.

Try this - before you mess around with the switch just cut off about six inches of cable at the plug end - throw it away and fit a new plug to the slightly shorter cable.

My guess is that you will then not need to bother trying to get access to the switch and that your Vax will start to work again.

It's a miracle.
