Mend Diplomat Washer Dryer Appliances

diplomat washer/dryer starts the 1st wash cycle then stops turning?

Can you tell me why when I first put the washer on the wash cycle it begins to wash then stops turning and buzzes. I have turned the dial on a couple of clicks and then it starts to work on the wash cycle again!!
