Mend Blaupunkt CDR2005 Button Manual Display

i have a cdr2005 radio and we have done as sugested held down the AS button?

we have held down the AS button as suggested in the manual the radio does not bleep but does display safe10 .when you try to enter the code the selection keys do not respond. any ideas
