vibrating kenwood major classic km800?

hi, ive a kenwood major classic km800, i bought it second hand but when i went to use it - it was vibrating rather badly and had a burning smell, not happy as i paid over £100 for it, my question is would it be worth fixing ? can it be fixed? or should i just kick up a stink and return it ? thanking you in advance , sandy
