How can I fix silvercrest SHLF 2000 A1 fan heater?

I have had a silvercrest SHLF 2000 A1 fan heater for just over a year, however, the display does not come on and can not opearte the appliance when it is plugged in and switched on.
The 'orange' monitor light for the main switch illuminates but the display remains blank and none of the buttons can be operated.
Any thoughts/suggestions/ideas much appreciated.
