Mend Durablast SH-2008 Shuts Heat Setting

surge heater shuts down on high heat setting?

My surge heater is a Nov 08 model, it worked well for serveral years. It still works well on low heat however on high heat it shuts off after a few minutes. Would this be due to the thermal fuse weakening after years of use??
