where is the syphon and how do you clean it?

our AEG Favorit 35085 V1 instruction book advises cleaning out the syphon but does not say where it is.

The syphon is a u shaped tube with a bubble , the bubble gets blocked, it is under the filter. Cheers

I assume it is talking about the filter in the base that lifts out
