Worcester Heatslave Oil Boiler?

Boiler light is on,water pump runs but boiler will not initiate firing sequence when either hot water or heating controls are turned up.
I did have the control panel off to change the diverter valve and when I put it back together nothing happens
burner plug is plugged back in but still nothing.
Help would be appreciated
