Mend Compact Rally GTE 1994 Hot Water Works Shower

Hot water tap only works when cold tap is on?

The hot water will only come when the cold tap is on. This happens in both the Kitchen and wash basin. The shower works fine. Our caravan is a Compact Rally GTE 1994. The van was 10 years old when we purchased it (privately) The problem existed in the wash basin then but is now also in the kitchen.

the switch on the hot tap isn't working hence if you turn the cold on switch works,pump starts and water comes from both
