why is the neutral in the ceiling light fitting showing live?

trying to change ceiling light fitting there are 3 red wires in a connector not fitted to rose. 1 black wire which is live from switch & 2 black neutral which also show live.when switch on bulbs come on & go off straight away.

D.I.Y, Lighting Wiring Switch Connector

the two black wire should be connected together and should be neutral if not you have lost the neutral wire somewhere as a rule the three reds are live feed, loop live and live to the switch, its corresponding Black would be the switch wire. The two blacks are neutral feed and loop neutral it sounds like it could just be a bad connection or maybe one of the wires is broken where it's been connected
