I have just brought this machine (second hand) and thought i check it over took the lid off and done a quick washer everything worked but there was a lot of arcing.
Changed the brushes for nice shiny new ones again done a wash the arcing had gone then when it went into spin the arcing reappeared with a vengence a loud pop and whole house tripped out.
Took to bits again and gave the armature a lite clean put back together, she fills and empties but nothing from the motor.
Does it need new motor or is the control board fried????
Sounds to me like you have a serious motor fault The only thing i can suggest is to try and get hold of another motor I don't think for one minute this has anything to do with the board however i could be wrong, but if it was working except for the arcing before you removed the motor i would say it is the motor at fault. Check to make sure you have current down to the motor. Sorry i cannot help any further.
