Mend Storad FGS Storage Heater Electrician Heating

Wattage of FGS storage heaters?

My FGS Storad storage heater measures 101.6 cms by 61 cms. It was installed in 1994. My electrician cannot detect the wattage going through it. The on/off wall switch is getting hot and has cracked. The fuse is 13amp. Do i need a different fuse?

Never change the fuse because of this problem it is there to be the weakest link in an electrical line ie it will burn out before cable starts to burn and cause a fire. I should imagine the reason the switch is hot is because the contacts of the switch are not in a good condition therefore resistance of contacts = heat new switch required
