Light replacement for the microwave?

The light went out in our kitchenaid microwave oven and i don't remember where the used to come from. I see what looks like a bulb in the top center, but when i try to take it out, it doesn't seem to come out. Am i trying to remove the wrong thing?

Mine has been out for years. Tonight I was going to order another part for the oven and thought I'd pull the MW bulb and get a replacement while I was at it. Couple of turns trying to twist it out and it just came on. Still have no idea if twisting will ever get it out.
