no don't use tools as you will break the reset sat.Multimeters are cheap as chips buy one they are so useful.stick it on ohms range and test element and stats as already suggested

Thanks Graham & CK,. Have tried pushing, & fairly hard, the red reset button at rear, however there isn't really much movement on it, it only depresses 1 or 2 mm tops & i do hear a feint 'contact' sound, but still no Heat blowing..
Unfortunately I don't have meter to hand .. Any further suggestions please?.. Oh, & is the red button supposed to become 'rigid' like?.. Should i try maybe using a tool to give it some more welly?..

pull out the drier and in the centre of the drum at the rear is a rubber grommit just push it in hard and you should hear a click

on the back is a red button.press it HARD.if that don't work test elements and stats with a multimeter for continuity
