I have a diplomat ADP8242. The led for the normal wash program is flashing ?

I can't reset the dishwasher. The normal intensive led if constantly flashing. I have tried to press and hold down the program select button to reset the appliance but it won't let me do this. I have tried turning it off and unplugging it for five minutes but when plugged back in, it just fills into the sump and does nothing and the one led is still flashing. I checked the drain pump and found some glass in there, removed it. Then checked the circulation pump, which was clear and there was continuity on both parts. Does the fact that the module can't be reset mean that it has failed or is the one flashing light a standard registered fault?
