Prima f, how to refil cylinder ?

Had to drain prima f system because of bust radiator pipe. Fix radiator pipe. Checked small black tank in loft full, turned on boiler put both water and heating on, this stayed on for few mins then shut off, turned hot water tap on water came out but not for long. Could hear the pump working by cylinder. Pressed release button back in again stayed on for few mins but not water. Please help
