Mend Cannon 5000 Changed Fan Fuse

Changed ellement now oven overheats?

New cannon fan ellement oven overheats probably 5000 degrees. Is there an in line fuse fault? Seems unlikely the thermostate could have gone at same time as ellement? Any ideas please
