Cd player ejecting any Cd inserted also internal noise of small cogs ?

I have a sony CD player Model HCD-SR4W.
when I turn it on from stand-by it starts to make a continuous noise. So I opended the player to find out the small cogs are spinning and I inserted a Cd and it ejected right out within 10-15 seconds. It's not playing any DVD's and on the TV no DVD screen showing nither. all other functions work apart from the DVD drive I believe.

Can anyone help please...I can have opened it up and had a good inspection, I thought a Cd may have got stuck inside but no Cd visable.

I can or aleast try to remove some parts if needed ?If told how to.
