Brother intellifax 820MC wont hold date and time setting?

The battery is located beneath the phone receiver. To access it, tilt open both the keypad and the paper roll storage cover. There is only one philips screw located at the left end of the paper roll. Remove it, and the cover, along with the phone receiver, lifts off. The four-pack, wrapped battery is along the end closest to you. It easily un-plugs and is removed. Since it is no longer possible to find these batteries on Planet Earth your best bet is to take your make and model number, as well as the spent battery, to your local Batteries Plus dealer. They will not be able to find the make and model in their computer but they always like to look anyway. Go on a day when they are not busy and the manager is working behind the counter. If he is in a good mood he can actually make a battery for you. Good Luck.
