SD, why would a NVM that holds information without power for 25 years need a code reset?
Got any fancy ideas about that?
This is not a £30.00 panel from Screwfix ( And no disrespect to them). It is one of the most used and reliable panels that used to be on the market, new rules and regs necessitated a change and yet the new M series has the same programming matrix, the same as the Scantronic range does.
Again you and your new associate show your ignorance by even commenting. Go back to whatever forums you frequent where you possibly know something.
OP go and buy a 12VDC 7AH SLA battery, just do a search for those numbers/letter and you will find a deal on the web. When its in, remove all power (Mains) and take off the cover, two screws. The lid will pull back and lift off. Replace the battery and put the code in , job done. Date a sticker and put it on the panel (The date you do this). In 5 yrs time do it all again. The panel will probably outlive you. Do regular walk tests and bell tests.
