Heard an electrical pop, smelt electrical burning smell then water flooding out the front of the door

Sorry, not sure of the make and model as it came with the house but will look for manual. However, that does sound likely. It was the same sound as when the oven element went. If the inner stainless tub has a hole I assume it would be a better move to get a new dishwasher?
