Mend Maytag DE610 Dryer Replacement

Replacing lamp in Maytag dryer DE610?

Maytag dryer model DE610 lamp is burned out. Can't get to it from inside drum. How does one get to the lamp? Also, the timer intermittently won't advance but the dryer works ok. Have to use auxillary timer.
