f 05 error code on my hotpoint?

i have a hotpoint aqualtis aq9d 692 washing machine which spat water all over my kitchen! then all the light started flashing and the code f 05 was on the dispay? ive emptyed it and cleaned the filter (which was pritty clean) but now it will not start?? anybpdy help please??
