fridge not cooling?

hi i have hotpoint mistral f/freezer,freezer working fine,fridge not cooling,ive opened rear panel in freezer compartment,fan had apparently stopped,tested it,no pwer,ie burnt out,bought new fan motor,when ive plugged it in theres seems to be no power to the motor,tested the 2 pins where the motor plugs in,theres no voltage,pls any ideas why the new motor will not work......thanks!
