Mend Samsung GT-S5830i Keeps Off Pin

screen keeps going off & have to re-enter PIN?

Have a new Samsung Galaxy Ace & the screen keeps going off & I have to re-enter the PIN all the time to get back into it. This is very annoying. If anyone has any suggestions what to do I would be very grateful. Thank you.
