Vauxhall Zafira 1.8 2002 - ABS/Traction warning symbol?

Ive read similar problems on here, but not quite the same as im experiencing, hope someone can help?
Whether from cold or warm, start ignition, the ABS & Traction control lights stay on, if i attempt to drive while lights are on, car kangaroo's and will stall when i have to slow to a stop, Start up again, warning lights clear, and car drives fine, no stalling, braking is all fine no issues.
I have taken to starting the car twice in order to clear the warning lights.
Is this a major issue, is there a fix, can anyone help please ?
