Hotpoint Freezer FFA74 stopped working!?

I have a Hotpoint Fridge freezer model FFA74. All of a sudden the frigde and the freezer have stopped cooling/freezing. The red temperature light has come on, indicating it has a high temperature. This light will not turn off. The fridge is making no noise, but sounds as if its trying to start, but keeps clicking off. I have tried taking of the plastic cover in the freezer to check if the evaporator has frozen over, but it has not. I have looked at the mother board and all seems fine. If there any chance you could help me any further??
