Mend Ford Focus 53 reg Longer Works Replaced

I have the correct code for the radio,but it no longer works?

I have just replaced the starter motor on my Ford Focus, 53 reg, and of course the battery was disconnected. The radio requires the code, and one which we have used in the past successfully, is being rejected. Any suggestions?
